Hi Gramps!

I've settled in here nicely. It's a little cold, and I'm having a bit of a flu, but I'm sure with enough water, I'll be alright. There was only one thumbtack on the noticeboard, so I put our picture up.

People seem very lovely, and they're quite fun. Thank you for watching over me as I was out tonight. It was quite smooth, socially, and I didn't feel as anxious. I'm grateful for this opportunity to try and make a world's worth of friends! It's very exciting.

I miss home. It's quite surreal to think I'll only be home in a month's time. I'll come and visit you when I'm home, I promise.

The work is never too hard. Never too hard if you're willing to do it, and I am. And so I've worked hard to be right here, right where I am now, as did mummy and daddy so I could be here. I miss you very much. Do come visit me while you're here, alright?

It does get ever so quiet when you're not around.

I miss you. Watch over me.

You're too far for me to reach now, but I promise, I'm never too far away.
