Happy Father's Day!

Hey there! Happy Father's day to all Fathers, all Fathers to be, and those who are our fathers in guidance and in care, and to all the fathers who father us without asking anything in return. So in a sense, Father's day to me is a day where we celebrate every guy who's been a guide, a carer, a listening ear and someone who has given to us the knowledge in our heads. I'm currently waiting for parts of my dinner to chill in the fridge, since I'm cooking CHEESE HAMBURGER STEAKS for dinner <3 For my Dad and Mum (and more importantly, me teehee) but Since I'm waiting I thought I'd continue my blog about Margret River!

Basically after the brewery we went to Mammoth Cave. Okay It's cool to be standing in the middle of my H2 geography, then asking myself it'd be safe to take pictures and share them with my teacher without having to present in front of half the cohort and then identify, and fail to do so and be punished.  (My geog teacher is like that. But she's tons of fun! I hope we get to go to the other two caves in the area, like coax the college to let us go.) It's really awesome, beautiful formations- and because I'm too lazy to draw my phone from the Kitchen just to upload photos, you'll have to live without them :P According to our guide it's a constant 16 degrees inside all year around, even in the Aussie Summer, which is amazing- if we had a cave like this in Singapore, I can imagine throngs of people paying money to go in there and get out of the heat. XD It's so typical of us to do these kinds of things, considering I'd do it too! It's pretty scary though- it's described as a sterile environment. No bats, no life inside. No one settled in the caves, nothing. And climbing around the cave is scary. It's on narrow staircases with very low railings and a VERY high drop. It freaked me out.

I thought it'd be cool to put in the picture above. For some reason, the water that comes out of the tap, even after boiling, is salty. And to me that is weird as hell. As in, seriously. Salty water. The joke of this was that the Chilled Rain Water (Rain water here tastes terrible, for any of you who have tried catching raindrops on your tongue, it's gross.) that's obviously been purified, tastes so clear and refreshing. It was really funny and awesome though :D Went down the Cape Leeuwin. I love the name and how it rolls off on your tongue as you read it, a lovely lighthouse on the southernmost part of Australia, I think. It's the place where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet. It;s really cool, because you get waves just smashing into each other from opposite directions. The lighthouse is a beauty on it's own :) It's really picturesque and I wish I had more time there.  Sadly we were quickly heading off to the winery after that so you know- Snap Snap, breathe in some salty air and off on the bus we go. But I can say that what greeted me at the Winery was NOT disappointing.

IS THAT NOT GORGEOUS? It's really just vineyards spanning all the way around the northwest side of this little place and It's just wonderful :D I find that wine in Aussie is seriously cheap and since I have this horrible thing for sweet wines I bought a Late Harvest Viogner, (I can't remember how to spell it. Spare me.) for myself. I wanted to buy two but then I couldn't bring myself to spend the money- then again I needed that money a couple days later for my insane clothing haul this time. My shopping on this trip is MASSIVE compared to what I brought back from Japan Last year. Curse you, exchange rate!

Back to cooking :D I'm very sure it's done.

xoxo
