InstantGlam
"Instagram". For people who like to share their life- and also for people who can't remember nut so they take pictures of everything to make it easier to remember what they've done-with a time stamp. Like me. I fit into the second category, because as of recent my memory has gone all blubbernugget.
I still remember when the App was picking up and every single person on the face of my social universe was using it, and I just didn't get it- but then I did, and 577 posts later it's been helping me keep track of what food I want to revisit, and also make me feel a bit better watching the weight slowly lob off my body. It still is, I just need to get back to running. Which I detest, to say the least. Either way after this post I return to the perils of my overdue geography homework and nursing my pain-in-the-ass of an eye.
If you're wondering what's happened, the two floaty squishy balls in my face are giving me more trouble than I could possibly hope for. My right eye has been inflamed for a month, and I've been going back and forth from the hospital(s) and clinic to try and get the poor thing solved. As of yesterday I have a stye in it to boot, so next week I have to return- and if it doesn't go away, I get to be a pirate for a couple of days. Swell. I also had them stick a needle in my eyelid to remove some calcified nonsense- sorry for the visuals guys, it's really getting p-retty annoying. Everyone's going back to school and I'm still here sitting on my ass blogging, so I guess it's okay.
Because of this, I'm also missing OGL camp. A MAJOR BUMMER, might I add. On the bright side, my best friend R is moving to my class, on the dark deep unhappy end, her class got disbanded and with it, my sluts. All split up. Seriously the class rotation/ reshuffle is the evillest thing ever. It's not as if my school needs tons of man power or something. Other than that, skin is being nonsense as well because I'm breaking out in mysterious hives from something (god knows what) and I have to go back to CGH. Call me Hospital girl. Really. Just do it.
TAIWAN!
We took an afternoon flight on Eva Air, sitting economy elite. If you're like me and you have issues with small uncomfortable seats and feeling claustrophobic on your flight, this new range of seating options solves that. I don't really need business class with these seats. Seriously. They're comfortable and there's tons of leg room and I can get really cosy in my chair. Which is great. Because I sleep on the plane? And That's all I do. Literally.
We Land and take a super comfy car ride (hotel car services) to Beitou, which is the hot spring area in Taipei. It was really night time by the time we got there, so we basically just had dinner and walked around the immediate area of the hotel. Sweet thing to note: the hot spring is in the room. Yes, no more awkward staring at other people (bless the people who came up with private room baths, my first experience with any Onsen type thing was weird and I never ever want to have to go through that ever again.)
On the left over here is the picture from day 2! Had a nice neat little breakfast at the hotel (but the bacon was icky. Of all things, why the bacon.) and then we started to walk. The overmassed jungle thingy is actually a library! It's so pretty and quiet, I'd study there all day. Because there's a starbucks a stone throw away, so I'll survive. However good thing to note is the fact that they didn't have the usual christmas drinks we get here! The only one I saw was the Toffee Nut Latte? But they have something that's super yummy called a Mocha Praline, and it's super duper yum. No cranberries or mint though, so I was kind of sad.
We walked up the hill to take a look at a sulfur spring, and on the way I grabbed my favorite shot of the trip- the circle of autumn leaves. It was just really picturesque, and I just had to snap a shot before we continued walking. Went to a super old bathhouse museum and generally spent the day walking around the area and discovering it :) It was tons of fun.
I'm going to continue rambling about the trip tomorrow, since I'm trying to post bit by bit about the trip in an effort to not give up posting :'D I think this year is going to be super hectic but I'm going to try and keep this blog alive.
xoxo
