Twenty Fourteen
2014.
Happy New year everyone! I'm so sorry for a lack of updates- since the last post my mind has wandered to other things and other happenings, and I've lost touch with my writing. So here I am today, as some of my friends flood back to school, writing again. For your entertainment, because the first day is always so dry.
I find myself falling into a cycle of this. Suddenly clouded by thought of something happier than I already have. It's like a part of my brain demands that I find someone to give special attention to at any point of time, and somehow poor thing, it's landed on you.
Instagram has been really useful in reminding me what I have done over the last few, mostly because I can't remember- and also because I'm a Dodo and I forget things. Went for a headphone festival called Mook <3 It was super amazing and I got to meet tons of my dad's friends, and they're all awesome. This is only because they're all serious audiophiles and due to my uncanny ability to pick up super weirdly high pitched noises and I'm super sensitive to detailing, my input (at whatever level) is valued :'D Thank you for making me feel wanted you lovely headphone people. My mission at this festival was to get a pair of IEM's (In-Ear Monitors) (Basically a swaggy awesome name for earphones that act as a vaccum and do the noise-cancellation stuff I guess) But I'm quite picky. I like having tons of detail and stuff so I ended up walking around a bit, trying the $2000+ roxannes and not liking them too much, waling to fitear and being disappointed by the final product of the prototype I had tried the year before (So muffled I nearly died) and finally stopping by a local company called Dita Audio.
You can imagine what happened next if I just move on from here, so I will- and I went home with a pair of Dita Audio "The Truth" edition IEM's...that made my entire year (And this year too.) Go stop by the shop near funan if you're interested in hearing them out (No pun intended) and testing these babies for yourself ;D
Hung out with my parents the next day at Bugis, where I haven't been in forever because I just fell out of love with the place, and found a really neat restaurant with souffle to die for and really good curry-baked rice. UGH. My obsession with curry is totally manifesting into something I cannot control. Look at the result of my crazy curry obsession. (Pictures to make my posts less dry you know, it's really quite yummy to see my Insta. So like, go follow it. Or something.)
Time basically flew from that point because on the 17th I flew off to Taiwan for a super awesome family holiday! It was so sweet of R to come down and send me off although I'm not like going away forever, A and A (the male and female versions of both letters) also expressed sadness for not being able to send me off, I mean you guys are legit adorable you know :') I really feel so loved because you guys are all like "WHY U NO LET US SEND YOU OFF" and I'm basically overwhelmed by the love I receive from all of you. So thank you for reminding me that someone's got my back, and I can chill abit.
I'm gonna update regularly for the next few days and talk about my trip and stuff, so feel free to check back :) I'm gonna sleep because some major unhappy things have happened to my eye and I may need to have a Day operation and stuff :/ bleah anyway off to sleep!
xoxo
