Troublesome Sunshine
It's hard to concentrate in the obliterating heat, even on a sunday like this.
I make it a resolution to swim.
It has been quite a long (month) while since I last posted, apologies- then again life came up and bit me in the ass, so a quick flip through instagram should provide me with enough memory on to update those who even read this blog anymore. (Many apologies)
I got to celebrate my Grandfather's birthday after spending a short amount of time hanging around with GSP and YT; it's always good to see them although the time I get to do so is really short- neither a night owl nor a allowed to be one. The latest I've come home is 10 so far, and I really prefer it that way because I'd rather be home, in my bed, sleeping at about 11-12. Yes, weak- but also unbothered very much in keeping awake for any more socialising, and travelling is tiring. Either way, very glad to be able to see them two fluffy chums (one of whom is in HK right now) (I miss her) (Come back please) and hopefully I'll be able to before I make my own (almost yearly) trip up to Perth and enjoy the WINTER WEATHER of the place.
I would have been up there like today (like my flight would have been right now) but...no. Stuff just happened and it became too rushed and too cumbersome so in the end I'll be going up with my parents instead of a week ahead of them and relishing the cold first. But hey, it leaves me with more time to faff around so it's fine by me. Mostly.
Baked (is it truly a baked good?) an Oreo pie which was really yum, I think I've finished it off, and it was good. Then Dad (the sometimes lovely creature) got me a 3DS! Which has probably been the highlight of the month. Pokemon X was my poison obviously but 20 hours, 200+ Pokemon and I'm still at my 6th going 7th badge. 3 boxes full of Pokemon caught excluding my main team, I think I'm on the brink of being able to call myself the crazy Pokemon lady. After that I branched into getting myself Nintendogs (AHHH the love) and Cooking Mama 4 (I have completed the prior 3) and have been playing at slow leisure, mostly. Studies, in the end, take up the greater part (rather all) of my time.
Getting treated to breakfast by my form teacher, finding out the mysterious addiction between rubber band looming (I am now a victim), sitting at Starbucks all day and churning out one of my best "Remains of the Day" essays ever, being treated by my mom to a good dose of soap and glory products and celebrating my best friend's absolutely smashing 18th Later (in which I managed to catch up with old friends and make bonds with new ones, and learn about the best card game ever) cam project HOT.
Now I would like to tell myself that speaking (rather public speaking) is my compulsion in life. After all; it's something I really like to do and really like being exposed to, considering I don't get stage fright and stuff, you know? Project HOT is a school based concert (okay who am I kidding it's more of like a huge live band performance where there are bands seriously rocking out and acoustics and stuff) and it was really awesome being able to Emcee for the 2.5 Hour Programme and rock out with everyone. It was fantastic. Big thanks to my two fellow Emcees namely S and M (WOAH THERE I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THAT) for just being the best two people to work with, and for those who were there, I hope you enjoyed my antics as the presidential hobo. Because you know what? Cast dignity into the wind; something I learnt in a place I still call home.
I managed to spend alot of good time with my parents and friends and classmates- went cafe hopping with my parents, had Itacho with C after school, went studying with Lya and hanging out with A to watch Maleficent and meeting DJT to have coffee and talk about the worst and lamest smear programme in History- yeah, t'was a pretty good month, aside from my breakdown. I'm hoping to blog as I did last year with new pictures and new edits and all that fancy- quite looking forward to my trip down under.
xoxo
